“Turn an empty skip into a street-side lecture theatre, with rows of seats and a lectern.”
The Open University is a functioning outdoor lecture theatre constructed in a roadside refuse skip, as well as an ad hoc lecture series of variable proportions, presented in situ therein, on the subject of what is and what is not trash.
A play for radio in six parts, the Common Room takes place in an unspecified institution where a group of misfits have been gathered together by unexplained circumstances.
Performance
Marcia performed in her furball, after a brief introduction, to the accompaniment of music by Sam Willan (Drums) and Pete Fraser (Saxophone). She was then led off the stage by J. Maizlish.

A month-long residency at Byam Shaw’s threatened library. A long durational performance, the writing out in long hand of Marcia’s earliest emails was punctuated by readings from her favourite books.
